THE EXPERIENCE

There’s an awful lot of dungeon-dwelling, sword and sorcery, fiend-fancying fantasy apps out there on the wilds of Google Play and, for the best part, most are just that: awful. So when a truly excellent example of the twin disciplines of dungeon delving and monster maiming comes along it’s worth shouting about. So, ETERNITY WARRIORS 2!

Beautifully rendered, the graphics are sharper than a dig from a Dual Axe and as elaborate as a professorial lecture from the very Hell Devil of Detail. Gameplay, meanwhile, is as fast and fluid as an untamed tide of trolls as you slaughter your way from the Undead Spire to Hell Fire mountain, hunting treasure chests, collecting coins and, of course, hurling yourself heroically into wave after wave of hideous should-be-deads.

With a shield to fend off beastly blows, a wide range of seriously nasty looking, upgradable, choppers to make monster mince, armour available as you go along and Special Skills to help you out of a hellion hole, this is nothing less than pure fun in a dungeon; pure fungeon?

THE BOTTOM LINE

Free to play, naturally the spending of real-world treasure will be required to afford the ultimate upgrades and stockpile enough restorative Health and Rage potions to ensure you get through each level with the same number of heads you started with, but as costs are low and the rewards great, get your hand in your demon-skull decorated coin-purse and immerse yourself in this marvellous monster mash ‘em up!
