THE EXPERIENCE

A very different take on the usual undead app experience, rather than an all-out assault of guns, guts and gore, Rebuild goes an entirely different route, pitting your wits against the differently alive in a turn-by-turn strategy game that’s more about survival than shotguns.

Okay, so there’s nothing wrong with blasting a few X-Factor contestant-alikes in the face with an awesome array of arms, but once you’ve emptied both barrels into the vacant visage of countless oncoming cannibal corpses, you just might need a little more in life, like company, food and shelter and a potential future. Which is where we are with Rebuild – tasked to gather fellow survivors, you’re here to take back the town building by building, using your team to find food, repair structures, rediscover lost technologies and, of course, defend your base from wave after wave of ‘walkers’.

But, humanity being humanity, it’s not just the crawling cadavers causing you sleepless nights, rioters, rival gangs and robbers are all out to aggravate your apocalypse too. I blame the parents.

Colourful, well animated and original, Rebuild uses randomly generated 3D cities across five difficulty levels to keep gameplay fresh, and offers customisable characters to ensure you always look your absolute best as you wind your way through your day to day Hell – because even in a post-apocalyptic nightmare world, there’s no excuse for shoddy grooming.
