Carlsberg don’t make Android apps; but if they did… oh, hang on. Designed to bring all the latest Euro news, views and reviews to footie fans that can’t get there, can’t get to watch it, or should have been there as England Manager but got outrageously overlooked by the F.A., the Danish drink dealer offers up its take on the Best Euro 2012 App in the World…

THE EXPERIENCE

Although the actual tournament is still some two months off, Carlsberg has rolled out its app early in a bid to attract football fanatics now and, ahem, really get the ball rolling. Essentially a news, results and stats affair with a fair smattering of images for real obsessives to stare at, the promise of the app-proper is hard to judge at this stage as, naturally, it can only really prove its worth once the tournament is underway.

However, with the promise of live commentary on upcoming friendlies, fresh news posted before, during and after matches, live group tables, live match stats, team and player profiles, and videos of press conferences, players to watch, and the obligatory ‘road to the tournament’ recap, it certainly has the potential to become a Euro essential.

THE BOTTOM LINE

With a clean and clear, user-friendly interface and relevant news already up and running, the alco-fuelled app could well be an invaluable resource for soccer Stattos to catch every beat of the beautiful game’s Euros outing. Add to that the striking fact that downloading it could win you tickets to boot, and we suspect Carlsberg’s early kick-off is bound to hit the back of the net.
