There are many stories from many sources surrounding the legendary Arthur, King of the Britons, but this must be the first to completely reimagine the role of royal relations ruining, French freelancer, Lancelot of Camelot. Prepare for relentess action, day and knight…
You don’t need to be a rocket surgeon to work out that the sum of Gameloft + Unreal Engine + the legend of Camelot was always going to = Avalon-addressing app awesomeness. But it looks like the Top Developers have more than come up trumps this time.
After discovering Guinevere’s affair with Sir ‘it’s-all-in-the-name’ Lancelot, Arthur’s gone off his royal rocker, teamed up with distinctly dodgy sister-sorceress, Morgana Le Fey, and opened a charming portal called the ‘Hellgate’ through which all manner of knightly nightmares are now streaming. Meanwhile, Morgana’s gone and grabbed Guin, holding her as hostage on the mystical isle of Avalon, leaving you to fight your way through the hordes of Hell to confront the King, massacre Morgana and help Her Highness out of a hole.
Played out in stunning real-time 3D graphics delivered courtesy of Unreal, this is a true app epic, balancing an original back story, puzzle solving, incredible action sequences and full-on fighting with gore galore against an army of demonic death dealers. I hope she’s worth it, Lance, I really do.
Featuring 10 levels and 20 different enemies, a wide range of weapons to whup ’em with, plus the option to invite up to eight friends on your quest in Multiplayer mode, this is an exceptional Round Table romp that stands apart as an app of a superior (Ex)caliber.
