Moo, Baa, La La La!

Moo, Baa, La La La! is Sandra Boynton’s second interactive book for Android, following on from The Going to Bed Book and, given that we already know that Android users are painfully slow on the uptake with paid-for apps (or notorious skinflints – you decide), it’s no surprise that these apps are taking a while to hit their sales stride. In any case, we thought it was high-time we took a look at some more children’s entertainment apps on Android, so we have… read more

Restaurant Story

From the same, ahem, stable as Farm Story and also Bakery Story comes Restaurant Story. The basic premise is that you start out with a very basic, budget restaurant that you can upgrade over time to something Michelin-starred. Kids Connect the Dots Xmas

A yuletide version of the dot-to-dot game that brings genuine fun to numeracy

Review by on the 17th December 2010

Keep the kids quiet this Christmas with a festive-themed version of one of our favourite Android apps for toddlers.

Kids genuinely love join-the-dots puzzles and this app cunningly taps into that appetite by presenting a series of puzzles that each consist of the challenge of connecting between 10 and 30 numbers. They are bright and bold – and it’s surprisingly hard to guess what each one is until the puzzle is complete, even though there are clues in the background. Toddler Lock

The Story Even very young kids are fascinated by touchscreen devices, and many parents will have let them have a quick play with their phones. So why not go the whole hog and actually turn the phone into a toy – for a while, at least? That’s what Toddler Lock does: set the app up and it will display colourful shapes and doodles as you touch the screen, complete with sound effects, only reverting back to a phone if you touch all four corners in sequence, or for an incoming call. Enable Airplane Mode and it won’t even do the read more
