Chrome Beta for Android updated to bypass mobile websites

Google’s Chrome Beta app has been boosted by the addition of 31 new languages and the ability to bypass mobile sites.

The Android web browser is only available for Ice Cream Sandwich users but its creators are clearly hard at work to ensure it surpasses the likes of Dolphin Browser HD and Mozilla Firefox For Mobile. read more

Google Drive launch expected on Android next week

Google is set to unleash its new cloud storage service next Tuesday, according to The Next Web.

Users who sign up to Google Drive will receive 5GB of cloud storage compared to Dropbox’s 2GB. It’s expected Google Documents will be incorporated into the service too. read more

Oracle's $1 billion Android patent infringement lawsuit begins

After months of delays, Oracle will finally see its patents and copyrights case against Google go to court in San Francisco today.

The lawsuit, which centres around Android’s use of Java, could see Oracle awarded $1bn (£630m) in compensation against Google. read more
