We’ve seen some remarkable uses of the Android OS over the last few months, from assisting in human-powered flight to HUD bathroom mirrors and everything in between. Well, nearly everything, because from an almost unpronounceable place in India comes the latest Android innovation: MAID…
Launched in Thiruvananthapuram on Monday, Microwave Android Integrated Device can auto-cook virtually any dish thanks to its ability to hook up to the internet. Whilst online video recipes can be downloaded and the little kitchen devil device also gives voice assistance throughout the cooking process, telling you when the food is cooked.
“This is the latest generation of microwave ovens and it literally knows to cook every dish. Connecting to the internet at home, one can select the dish of choice from the website and download the recipe and ingredients list using MAID,” said Sabarish Prakash, CEO of the company behind the hot idea, SectorQube Technolabs.
What’s more, bringing the MAID magic to the masses, the console can be retro-fitted to microwaves, allowing you to simply upgrade your old nuker rather than having to buy a whole new one.
“MAID is going to be a very unique product in the market,” continued Prakash in a well-meaning if slightly sexist manner, “We believe the MAID oven will go a long way in liberating women from the kitchen and make them free to play a greater role in every aspect of life.”
