Tenuous Android news ahoy now as Rovio unveils a whole new online Angry Birds animation, introducing to the furious feathered friends family none other than strutting peacock of rock Freddie Mercury.
To mark the birthday of the moustachioed former frontman and raise cash for the AIDS fighting Mercury Phoenix Trust, Freddie’s Queen band mates Brian May and Roger Taylor held Freddie for a Day – a fundraising event on Monday at London’s Savoy – whilst the developers of the angry avians at Rovio launched their new video to help promote the charity.
Rendering Mr Mercury into Angry Bird format and posing him, crown and all, on a bicycle as, of course, Queen’s Bicycle Race plays out, Angry Birds will also be releasing a limited-edition Freddie Mercury Angry Bird T-shirt, available from the Angry Birds and Bravado webstores, a portion of the proceeds of which will be donated to the Mercury Phoenix Trust.
Head here now to check out the video now and look out for the limited edition feathered Freddie flaunting T-shirt before stocks fly.
