Are you the kind of person that likes stealing cars? What about randomly assaulting people in the street? Running them over? Gunning men down mercilessly with a machine gun? Or giving ‘tough love’ to a ‘lady of the lamp’ with a baseball bat? Then the police would really like to talk to you, you flippin’ psychopath!
Yes, whilst indulging your sick pleasures in this world would see you locked up in a maximum security loony bin faster than you can shout “Eat lead, you mother-Russia!” and empty the clip of an Uzi, there’s one world in which that kind of behaviour is utterly applauded… and it’s coming to Android.
Due within weeks, Rockstar has announced that its legendary GTA Vice City is to make its violent way onto the open source OS, boasting “several enhancements unique to the iOS and Android platforms”, which is decent of them.
The forthcoming Android release of Vice City is just one part of Rockstar’s 10 anniversary celebration of the ground/jaw-breaking game’s original release on the PlayStation 2, with another being the generous dropping of the price of GTA III on Google Play to just £0.73 for a limited time (available now here)!
Naturally, excitement amongst the normally peace-loving people here at LOA has peaked, so we’ll be hard at work from this point on practicing our cut-price savagery in Liberty City in anticipation of the arrival of Vice; you’ll know when it does when we go oddly quiet for a while…
UPDATE: Grand Theft Auto: Vice City will be available from Google Play on December 6th, priced at £3.13!
