We first got all excited over the idea of the original Max Payne mix of mafia, mayhem and murder bringing its savage styling to Android way back in March when, the rumour was, it was all set to launch on April 28th. Well, the sharper ones amongst you will have noticed that, despite our enthusiasm, this completely and utterly failed to happen, technically making us liars.

Well, brace yourselves for brutality, for Max Payne Mobile will be available tomorrow!

In a blog post yesterday, Rockstar Games announced the official launch date and went on to say that: “The full classic Max Payne experience is optimised for Android devices and features HD graphics, high-resolution textures, Social Club connectivity, user-customisable controls, and gamepad support for select USB controllers.” Which is bound to keep both fans of the neo-noir, narcotic-nightmare suffering, not-so-good-cop, Max, and those with a penchant for psychotic violence alike equally delighted.

Expected to be priced around $2.99, we’ll be sure to bring you a full review following Thursday; possibly before Fight Club Friday. Oops, forgot the first rule again…
