As eager, excited fans of suave, Martini swilling, serial sex-pest and all-round super spy, James Bond, will know all too well, today is the day that Daniel Craig’s latest outing as 007 comes to the big screen as Skyfall opens nationwide. The third in the line following Cheese Royale and Quantum of Sausage, Skyfall also sees the return of beloved gadget-master Q to the franchise, played now by Ben Wishaw. So what better to look at on Bond Day than a top bit of Q-pleasing kit assigned Bond’s own number: the UG007…
An Android-armed mini PC, the UG007 features not only 4.1 Jelly Bean, but also full flexibility through built-in Bluetooth support, Wi-Fi and 3G, keeping lines of communication open to all comers – essential for any agent in the field.
Akin to its number-sake, the UG007 will also ‘get cosy’ with almost anything thanks to a USB 2.0 port, HDMI output and a MicroSD slot, allowing you to instantly transform any TV or monitor into a fully functioning computer, whilst the powerhouse dual-core Rockchip RK3066 (1.6GHz) processor at its heart, in conjunction with 1GB of RAM, Mali 400 graphics and 8GB of internal storage (expandable up to 32GB) would make Q proud, even during that awful period he was played by John Cleese.
The UG007 is available now for around £50 from here – a price even the budget-strapped MI6 can afford. When it comes to the pocket-sized PC, nobody does it better…
