The wait is almost over as The Dark Knight Rises, the ‘Legend Ends’ and Christian Bale goes back to shouting threats at people on the set of the next Terminator movie, yes the final outing of Batman is about to hit the big screen and with it comes the official Android game, guaranteed to please any appman.
Launching on Friday 20th, it’s been eight years since Bruce Wayne took the fall for Harvey ‘Two Face’ Dent taking his, erm, fatal fall, but now he’s back in action as the Bat, taking on the sultry delights of Anne Hathaway’s Catwoman and Tom Hardy’s not so much sultry as brutally murderous Bane.
From top-end developers Gameloft, The Dark Knight Rises lets you rubber-suit-up to meet all of Batman’s allies from Lucius Fox to Commissioner Gordon, and build the strength to protect Gotham City from the bonkers Bane before he tears you a new Batcave.
Comprised of dozens of missions plus random events such as hostage situations, bomb squads, jailbreaks and car chases to Bat-tackle, Gameloft promise a thrilling fighting system that ‘puts you in the heart of the action thanks to many different moves and cinematic effects’, which sounds more than just a little good to us.
Naturally there’ll be a full review from us next week, but to further whet your appetite before Friday’s launch, head here to see the second official trailer.
To the Bat-poles!
