Would you Adam and believe it? Although it feels like mere moment since I formerly introduced you to last weekend, here we are again, solemnly standing by the death bed of the working week as its life inevitably ebbs away. But, wait, what’s this in the next bed? Why it’s the new born baby of a Bank Holiday weekend (it’s an NHS metaphorical hospital, clearly) – a fresh three day life free from the tyranny of work-time! Ah, like a phoenix from the flame, things just got 137% better (the Louis Walsh scale)
But, before you all run off to revel in the wonders of the long weekend, I still need a hand shifting this corpse. Think I should say a few words out of respect? Okay, I’ll have a go: Monday to Friday, Life of Android will miss you. You brought us new things each day; things that will live on in the memory and on the internet long after the Bank Holiday has been forgotten. So much Android news, so many app reviews and even a smattering of user views… where do I start? Well my contract says with the Apps…
THE APPS
Ever fancied taking control of the traffic lights and, by extension, the lives of all motorists in a European Capital city? A bit like they did in the Italian Job? Of course you have, because you’re as power-crazed as we are! Well, you’re luck is in as this awesome car-megeddon causing app allow you to do just that on the streets of London, judging timing to channel the traffic safely or, as is more likely, creating chaos with crashes and, unusually, your supply of bombs. Intrigued, then motor over this way for my full Ford Focused review.
It’s the start of the 22nd century and, sad to report, the future is not bright. Mankind being mankind has been picking interstellar scraps with argumentative outerspacers and the upshot is, of course, invasion of the Earth. So, pick up the biggest guns you can find, hijack tanks whenever possible and keep that trigger depressed in a bid to wipe out the always on-coming aliens in this all-action platform plasma-fest. Get your ET annihilating brief here.
It’s quest time again as we sharpen our double-hard dual battle axes, slip into our battle best and get ready to hack and slash our way through glorious level after level of gory beast bloodshed, tackling ghouls, goblins and demons of all dimensions in an app that’s more fun than a foam party with a Fell Beast. Or something. Fight, flee, swear a bit when you see some of the horrors awaiting you and then join me here to swap tales of derring do…
