Another week at Life of Android draws to a close, and as we prepare to turn off the supercomputer here that links all of our thoughts into a hive-mind collective more powerful than a mega-Einstein, there’s time quickly to perform a brief recap of the last five days, just in case you weren’t paying attention.
In news it was a week to rival the Cuban Missile Crisis, JFK’s assassination, and the first man on the moon, but in a massively overstated Android kind of way. Kicking us off on Monday we discovered an app developed by a British Masters student which helps take the strain out of stressful SMS messages by analysing the words used and colour coding them for potential stress-factor! Tuesday came with a warning concerning the return of tedious old Trojan, Zeus, and its less than godly latest disguise. Wednesday, meanwhile, picked up the positive pace again with news of MightyText – a new messaging app to unite all your devices. Next up, Thursday hit, urging us gently towards the weekend with word of Amazon’s Appstore making its way to the UK within mere months and, finally, Friday followed up with a nifty new way for TiVo users to get the most from their DVR in the form of an Android app that offers full remote operation and additional extras for free!

So it shouldn’t have come as a surprise to anyone when the lord of the manor, Mister X, vanished in mysterious circumstances leaving nothing behind but a cryptic message. It shouldn’t, but it did…
Suggesting that the world economy is not as bad as the economists say, summer is here and, as such, Irma is off on holiday to Hawaii. But so slap-dash is she about her business affairs she’s got nobody lined-up to run the diner in her absence. Naturally then, she turns to a lazy, lasagne-obsessed cat and his sleepy eyed owner. I can only presume she’s independently wealthy…
