After all that initial excitement is anyone still using Google+? A quick shout out round the Life Of Android office offered a resounding answer of ‘no’ but if you’re sticking with the fledgling social network, its new and improved Android app is now ready to download.
Google’s Ben Eidelson announced the app’s cleaner interface, improved functions, and bolstered battery life on his Google+ account stating, “So you’ll see the same attention to beauty and simplicity in our new design”. read more

Video: Google+ Android app adds Reshare feature
Google keeps improving their social network's app
If Google+ fails to take off, it won’t be for a lack of trying on its creator’s part. The Google+ app for Android was only launched in late June this year but it has already benefitted from six updates, including its latest which features the ability to Reshare posts and links.
“The Google+ Android app update includes our No. 1 most requested mobile feature, resharing posts,” said mobile product mamager Ben Eidelson in a YouTube video which you can watch below. read more

Rogue Google+ malware records Android phone calls
Malware masquerades as social networking app
Android hackers have attempted to disguise their dangerous malware as a Google+ app which captures instant messages, call logs, location, GPS and other sensitive data.
Discovered by smartphone threat experts at Trend Micro, the malware named ANDROIDOS_NICKISPY.C is also equipped to automatically answer and record phone calls. To entrap Android owners, the app loads at startup running a number of features to monitor messages, phone calls and the user’s location. read more
