BBC iPlayer app coming to Android
TV app only runs on Android 2.2 OS devices
First the good news: the BBC has finally announced its much anticipated iPlayer app will be winging its way to Android devices tomorrow or Friday. Now for the bad: it will only work on smartphones or tablets rocking Android 2.2 Froyo or later, have Adobe Flash 10.1 installed and boast a Wi-Fi connection. It also won’t stream over 3G due to technical reasons. Unfortunately, this will mean a fair whack of Android patrons still working older versions of the OS will be sidelined. Grrrrr. read more
