NavFree UK navigation app now available on Android
Download free sat nav app from Expansys throughout May
When it comes to free navigation apps on Android it’s hard to look beyond the awesome Google Maps. But one company, Navmii, is trying its darndest to convert you over to its feature rich NavFree UK software. Navmii is able to hawk this app for nada because the map data is based around the community based OpenStreetMap (OSM). This means the users can update the mappage themselves to build a more accurate picture and with over 300,000 map updates already made by iPhone users, it appears Navfree is fast approaching pro-quality.
Unlike Google Maps, NavFree doesn’t rely on a data connection for its map feed. The whole of the UK & Republic of Ireland as a 300MB file is downloaded straight to your phone so your route won’t be interrupted should a network signal be lost. read more
